Dallas Days

Last week my sister, my cousin and I headed to Dallas, Texas to visit our Aunt Michele and to get out of Virginia for a while. I considered this trip my graduation get away. Below are a few images I managed to collect using my iPhone commemorating our trip. ENJOY!

Dallas Love Field Airport

In-N-Out
Had to try it while on the "west cost"...well more like the Southwest. The burger and milkshake were good, the animal fries, however, did not live up to my expectations.

Dallas Museum of Art
Wanting to make the most of this trip, we made it our mission to see many of the attractions the city had to offer. We visited the Dallas Museum of Art in the Downtown Art District, and across from the entry way there is a wall adorned with a magnificent mosaic. It is way larger than what is pictured here. The museum as a whole was amazing. It gave me flash backs to some of my favorite art history classes. There was also the fashion industry gallery (FIG) just across the way. After doing some research I found that this location is a wholesale venue used for fashion trade shows. Quite cool I must say.

In large cities such as Dallas, using public transportation to get around is apart of the holding charm of the city. So, we used the DART to get around like true Dallas, Texans. It was a cool experience, very clean and easy to navigate. We also visited a gourmet popcorn shop in Northpark Mall known as Uptown Popcorn, they have a plethora of flavors ranging from your basic carmel corn to some slightly more extreme like dill pickle. The best kettle corn I have ever had.

It has been said that Dallas is the food capital of the United States, so we ate A LOT of great food. While in Texas you MUST have BBQ, so my Aunt took us to Back Country Bar-B-Q, a classic in Texas. As you can see they have a "fame wall" where they frame and post images of celebrities who have visited and ate there. The BBQ was delicious and it was a great way to end our Dallas food quest.

Arlington Arcade

I really enjoyed my visit to Dallas, Texas. It is a beautiful city with a lot of modern attractions. I look forward to visiting again, as there is still much more of the city I hope to see and explore. As a recent college grad, I definitely plan on extending my job search to include prospects from this lovely city.

Until next time...travel well.
Bye for now.
