Classics

Blazer: JCP
Sweater: Marshalls
Pants: TJ Maxx
Scarf: H&M
Loafers: Urban Outfitters

As my graduation date creeps closer and closer, the fact is setting in that soon I will not long be a college student, but a young professional. The thought of this is frightening at times but also very exciting. A whole new set of experiences and adventures await.

With that being said, I have decided to pull out some work appropriate attire today. As the winter chill has set in quite early this year, I layered up for this look. I recently purchased this really soft and warm sweater from Marshalls by the brand French Connection. This piece has neutral color blocked sleeves that you cannot see here, but the added detail definitely influenced this buy. On top of that I wore a tweed blazer that has been in my wardrobe for quite some time. The weave of the blazer incorporates all of those classic neutral colors with hints of bolder hues, making it a real stand out piece in my opinion.

I went with another classic pattern for my trousers, and that would be a plaid. I love a versatile piece, and a gray plaid pant works well with many different colors and styles. Loafers were my shoe of choice today, and for added warmth I slipped on an infinity scarf from H&M.

Bye for now.

A Lita Denim

Top: J. Crew
Jeans: Nordstrom
Bag: JCP

Happy Thursday friends! Other than myself, has anyone else been loving double denim? I've thought it was cool for quite some time now, but I had to find the perfect pairing or else it can be a complete disaster.

When I saw this chambray shirt at a J. Crew outlet shop I had to have it. It is the perfect denim button up for my wardrobe and I have gotten so much wear out of it thus far. On fall days when it's not too cold out, I enjoy wearing only a long sleeved shirt and a scarf for a little added warmth in place of a heavy coat. Competing the 'Canadian Tuxedo' look, I wore my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans. In keeping with the warm tones, I decided to dust off my Jeffrey Campbell Lita's and take them out for a walk.

Well that is all for today guys and gals,
Bye for now.

Align

Coat: Vintage
Sweater: Need Supply
Pants: TJ Maxx
Shoes: Grey City
Watch: Michael Kors

Every now and then, the stress of completing my last few weeks in College catches up with me. This was one of those days. To prepare myself for hours of running to and from classes to give presentations and finalize major projects, I dressed appropriately for the venture ahead.

Gray is definitely one of my favorite colors to wear because it goes with everything, I have yet to find a combination of gray tone clothing that I didn't like together. I decided to wear a short sleeve gray sweater that incorporates beautiful baroque appliqué on either shoulder. This add on makes the piece really quite appealing to look at. On the lower half, I wore another some what busy piece, I've said it once and I'll say it again, I have a thing for mixing patterns and textures. Mixing of the two gives off the impression that you tried so much harder than you actually did.

Finishing off the look, I threw on one of my favorite pair of winter shoes, these pointed toe black leather booties with gold buckles, another simple statement piece. And let's not forget to mention that great oversized coat, this luxurious throw on has kept me warm many winter days.

Well that is all for today guys, so until next time,
Bye for now.

Camel Chrome

Sweater: Asos
Skirt: Forever 21 (similar style)
Boots: Zara

Hello there and Happy Tuesday! I volunteer every Tuesday at the VMFA here in Richmond, VA for a teen fashion design program, and on those days I like to dress practically. Usually, I'll wear jeans, but on this particular day I decided to wear a soft faux leather skirt and a very warm camel sweater. These pieces together completed my version of a no fuss fit.
At the moment, I am very much loving wearing oversized sweaters over micro mini's. As it turns out this skirt is actually a full length skater skirt, but I hiked it up to suit the look I was going for. I also wore one of my favorite pair of boots that I seem to wear all the time, my black boots with gold plating from Zara. To pick up on the gold detailing in the shoes, I chucked on a bunch of gold tone jewelry to tie it all together.

And on that note, may you all have a beautiful day,
Bye for now.

City Chic

Jacket: Helene Berman
Turtle Neck: JCP
Pants: H&M
Oxfords: Topshop

Playing with a colorful backdrop as I pose for a few outfit shots. I've been loving the minimal look lately, just featuring one or two statement pieces, today that piece is this amazing checkered jacket by Helene Berman. Wearing an all black outfit really allowed the jacket to stand out.

Underneath, I layered a ribbed turtle neck sweater and a pair of black skinny pants. On my feet I'm sporting a pair of oxfords, the perfect pair of stylish and comfortable shoes to run around the city in. Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday!

Until next time,
Bye for now.
